FAQ

Quick answers

Do I need a license to come to a meeting?

Not at all. Plenty of our members are unlicensed when they first show up. We'll help you get licensed if and when you want to.

Do I have to be a KSU student?

KSU students, faculty, and alumni are the core of the club, but community members interested in ham radio are welcome too.

Do I need to own a radio?

No. You can learn and even make contacts using club and members' equipment before buying anything of your own.

When and where do you meet?

Meeting times and the campus location are coordinated each semester and posted in our Discord, along with any schedule changes.

Is there a membership fee?

Reach out on Discord or by email for current details on dues — getting involved and studying with us costs nothing.

73, and hope to hear you on the air.

("73" is ham-speak for "best regards.") Come join the conversation.
